The first version of Unframed started as flashcards I kept in a little plastic bag, notes, quotes, anti-patterns, and insights from real work and research. Originally, they were just for me.
Transformation doesn’t come with a script, No pre-written answers or rigid steps. yet, time and again, I ran into the same challenge and felt that
We need better ways to connect the dots—between disciplines, teams, and great ideas which are somehow trapped in silos.
When I spoke at the Team Topologies conference, I used early revamped versions of the cards as visual takeaways in my talk, “From Burgers and Bikes to Team Topologies.” They helped ground the ideas, and sparked conversation that is still ongoing! so, I realised: others could benefit too.
Each card is an invitation, to reflect, to think laterally, to explore systems, and to spark richer, more meaningful conversations! These cards don’t give you a solution. They offer questions, to guide your own thinking on your own journey and help you connect the dots across your organization without boxing you into predefined answers.
They’re designed for anyone who may find them useful in their work—whether you’re in Transformation, UX, Continuous Improvement, Agile Coaching, Software Engineering, Product Management, Service Management, Business Analysis, or elsewhere.
And I’d truly love to hear how you’re using them, what context you’re in, what they helped spark, and the value they brought. Your stories are part of this movement, and they help shape where it goes next.
